the third week ... snow! wow! ooohhhh so interested
Today we learnt about whether or not snow can fall on the equator. My group, the A Team said yes whilst the other groups said no. of course we knew that with climate change the rotation of the sun anything can happen. Also we remembered that precipation does not only occur during the day but it occurs at night as well. Also the tilt of the earth matters here as well. This was my "ah ha" moment as I i really forget about this important point as I just focused on the rotation, climate changing and the precipation not occuring during the day only.
In addition to this, we were given a sheet of paper with pieces of a jigsaw puzzle and we were asked how do we take the the pieces in account for how we work together as a group. So what my group came up with was that some of the pieces will not fit but we would have to work around with the other pieces until it has fit, meaning that we will encounter challenges and we will have to work around it and get the job done at the end of the day. Also one piece may be missing as well so we have to make sure all are present to get the finished product and it looks like a perfect master piece in the end. These two points stood out because they are very important to us as the A Team and it will be remembered nad ut into use as it is going to help us succeed throughout to the end of this semester.
the third week of classes and my passion for this course and my enthusiasm for learning has fallen. I have my reasons why and i will not post it until maybe the end of this course. My feelings for geography have been hurt drastically and i hope I can recover from being hurt as bad as i am here at the moment.

ReplyDeletethank you thank you .... it was indeed a moment for just a short while
DeleteAndrea, interesting post. Thank you for continuing to share your thoughts.
DeleteRemember, that this blog is about reflecting deeply on your own experiences of learning. You are being asked to make sense of what you are experiencing in the course on a personal level. The guideline are provided in the rubric. For example, why for example, "your feelings have been hurt drastically?" How does that hurt translate to what you do as a student? What impacts your learning or interest in a subject and why? In what way are those issues relevant to you as a learner and a teacher? How will they be relevant to your students?
Use the rubric to help you reflect on yourself and to raise your level of self-awareness. You do not have to share in the post what you do not want to, but part of this journey in this Geography class is about learning more about who you are as a person, a learner, and a teacher.
